My company had it's annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Day yesterday. This is definitely one of my favorite celebrations because it's just amazing what people can find or steal from their Mom!! So, if you're ever throwing out a Christmas sweater, don't!! Give it to me instead.

Christmas Dinner With Friends
We all met at Tucanos this year for our friends Christmas dinner and gift exchange. It was so fun to see everyone and pig out on food. Tristian had my name and made me a calendar with a bunch of photos from my blog.... what a great idea!! Jake had Paul's name and gave him a cute poster of little Stockton and Malone.
Merry Christmas!!

Rockin' Around The E Party!!
We really did have a rockin' time at the E party this year. Gordon brought Just Dance 2 and Michael Jackson Dance, and it was a bunch of crazy adults bustin' a move!! They were really fun games to play, and I love any chance I can get to watch Paul dance. He's so cute when he dances. Big Thanks again to the Patterson's for letting us crash their house.
Christmas Cheer
We had a great time with the Guymon Family carrying out a family tradition of gingerbread houses. It's always so fun to get together with everyone and get sick off of frosting and candy. Paul and I especially couldn't wait because this is where we decided to break our baby news to the family. My favorite house of the night was Colin's. We had a great time giving him ideas on what to add to his house. By the time he got done, his entire house was covered in candy. He even had a tent in the front yard covered in candy. What a great time!!

It's A Boy!!
It's official, Paul and I are having a baby boy!! He's set to make his arrival on May 15th, and we couldn't be happier!! We found out on September 23rd that we were expecting, but decided not to tell our family until Thanksgiving when we were all together. Last week on Thursday, we had an ultra sound at 16 weeks and found out that it's a BOY!! This was the first time Paul went to an appointment with me, and it was so awesome to see the baby together. He's already an active, little boy who was moving all over the place.
Since then, we've told all of our friends and it's no longer a secret. It's been fun telling everyone and receiving their excitement and love. We really have such great family and friends who are all just as excited as we are. We told Paul's family over Thanksgiving dinner. Paul's Dad always asks us at Thanksgiving what we're thankful for. When the question was posed, Paul showed everyone the pictures from our first ultra sound at 9 weeks. They were all so happy! We told my family while making gingerbread houses. We brought pink and blue candy, and Paul brought it in when everyone was there making houses. My Mom got really excited and came screaming and running to give me a hug.
Now, I'm at 17 weeks and feeling pretty good. Throughout the pregnancy, I've been really lucky and haven't had terrible morning sickness. I've felt more tired and there have been times where I feel a little sick, but I've been lucky not to throw up every morning or at work. So far, the biggest challenge is brushing my teeth in the morning. Sometimes it will set off my gag reflex, which will sometimes lead to throwing up even if I haven't eaten anything. It's not the most attractive thing. I also had a couple of weeks early on where bananas gave me an upset stomach.... weird!!
My belly is starting to grow and my clothes are getting pretty snug, but it's fun to see all of the changes, and I can't wait until I can start to feel him move. We love you baby BOY!!

Faimily Time
My nephew Keith was baptized last weekend, and we were able to have family at our house to stay and visit. We love getting together with everyone, and we especially love hanging out and playing games. We spent the night playing a family favorite, Descriptionary. Some of my favorite moments were Cody trying to guess "Kenny Rogers Roasters" and Mom saying "suppository"... you don't hear your parents say that everyday. We had a great time!

Paul's 31!
Paul turned 31 last week. It was so much fun celebrating his birthday this year. We had pie, ice cream, and presents the Sunday before his birthday so I had time to cook him dinner and get it all together. This year, I was actually able to buy him a present that was a total surprise. I got him the complete MASH series. As he examined the wrapped box all day, he kept telling me that he knew what it was, but he was wrong. He thought it was a Kindle, but was really happy about what it really was. It was so funny. He opened the box and read me the MASH Collector's Handbook that came with the DVDs. It was interesting, but I'm not really a MASH fan. In the week that he's had it, he's already watched the first three seasons. On his actual birthday day, we went on a hike up Yellow Fork Canyon after work. All of the fall colors were beautiful, and it was much more fun then going out to dinner or a movie. He also took off a couple of days to go fishing with his brother Steve. Paul really knows how to celebrate!
Happy Birthday, Paul!

Halloween Time
For Halloween this year, I dressed up as a 50's girl and wore a poodle skirt outfit I got from Wal-Mart. I didn't have the energy this year to make my costume. As usual, I dressed up at work for the day of the Halloween parade. It's always so fun to go to work and see who dressed up and what they're wearing. Halloween is such a fun holiday!
Losing Control!
We had a work conference back in September and for one of the events we went to Snowbird for some fun activities and dinner. I tried a couple of new things while I was there, riding a mechanical bull and an alpine slide. I had a great time, but riding a mechanical bull feels so funny, not to mention how awesome you look with flared nostrils while your laughing uncontrollably. Good Look!! Don't think I'll be trying the bull again anytime soon, but I'd give the alpine slide another try.
"E" Summer Party
I'm a little late on talking about our awesome "E" neighborhood summer party, but better late then never!! We had it back in September at the Brough's house, and it was the hottest event of the summer! All of the Mom's really upped the WOW factor of the party and rented a bounce house for the kids to play in. What a great idea! It's always great to spend the afternoon talking and catching up with all of our great neighbors.
