We Have Arrived....

Well, we made it to Boise! I don't know how we managed to pack up our entire house and load it into a 24-foot truck but somehow Paul made it happen. What a long and crazy few weeks it was at our house. Thank goodness we had two very helpful grandmas who were willing to come stay with us and help take care of Evan or else I don't think we would have been able to get it all done.

While we were in the process of getting ready to move, Paul started a new job, which meant he was busy traveling and working. I was still working full-time, which meant I was gone most of the day too and packing on the nights and weekends. We also had a few things going on with the closing of our house. Needless to say, we were going in every direction.

On the day we moved, I went to a half day of work for my last day (SAD!!). Paul spent the morning with a friend loading up our moving truck. When I got home, my mom and I finished cleaning up a few things in the house and by 7 p.m. we were ready to hit the road. We decided to leave at night so Evan would fall asleep in his car seat. It worked and he slept the entire way.... ahhh, a peaceful ride! My Mom and I rolled into Boise around 1 a.m. and Paul and the dogs followed in the moving truck around 2 a.m. We're so happy to be here, and we already feel like this move has been a great blessing for our family.

4 Month Fun

Evan has gotten really good at holding and playing with toys and interacting with us. He especially loves it when Steve plays fetch and laughs when he's running. I've noticed too that he's starting to reach for his feet, but they haven't made it in his mouth yet. He's very aware of noises around him and loves you to hold him so he can look at what's going on. Here are some pictures of him playing around.

Evan's 4 Month Check-Up

Evan turned 4 months old on September 22nd and had his check-up the 26th. He weighed 16.11 pounds, was 26.9 inches long, and his head measured 16.6 inches. He is in the 95th percentile for height and the 75th percentile for weight. At this appointment we learned that he can have any foods now except for honey, but I think we'll wait to start him slowly on the rice cereal for another month. I was surprised that he only weighed 16.11 pounds. When I'm packing him around, it feels like he weighs around 18-20 pounds. He's a good baby and is growing right on track. Someday, he's going to be tall like his dad!!

All Ready To Be Checked!

Rebecca - Called To Serve

We were lucky enough to be able to go to our cousin Rebecca's missionary farewell. She has been called to serve in South America. Her farewell was in a singles ward so I was really nervous about taking a loud baby, but Evan surprised me and did really well. Maybe he was trying to act older then he really is to impress all of the singles ladies. After church, we went to her open house luncheon where we were able to catch up with a lot of cousins, uncles and aunts from our Campbell family. It was so fun to see everyone.

Rebecca is going to be a great missionary and we can't wait to hear about all of the fun she is having on her mission.

The Campbell's Are Moving!

It's weird to say that we're moving. Paul got a great job in Boise so we've put our house on the market. We're keeping our fingers crossed that it will sell quickly so we can go as a family at the same time. We've already had a lot of house showings. We leave our house during the showings so we have to get creative when we're kicked out for a few hours. One day, we took a ride up Butterfield Canyon - a perfect place to go with two dogs and a baby. We could make all the noise we wanted and run around!!

Guys Night

Paul hosted a guys night at our house with a few of his best buddies. I'm not sure what they did because girls are not allowed, but when I got home later that night it looked like they were having a lot of fun. I grabbed one quick picture of the group before heading to bed.

Aloha!

Evan and I went with Kara, Jace, and Cole to a Hawaiian party at Gardner Village back in August. Evan was a little tired so he didn't find the loud music that amusing, but it was actually a lot of fun.

3 Month Update

Here are some cute pictures of Evan at 3 months. While he was 3 months, he learned to roll over, started smiling and laughing at people and the dogs, and got really good at holding up his head. I went back to work so we also moved him to his crib so he'd be in his own room. The first morning after I went to check on him, it freaked me out how much he had moved. He was facing a completely different direction and was at the opposite end of the crib. Who knew he was capable of moving that much?!? He's always been a great sleeper and usually sleeps at least 9 hours each night and wakes up with a big smile. He's such a great baby!

2 Month Check-Up

Evan had his 2 month check up today. He weighs 13 pounds and is 25.3 inches long. He is in the 65th percentile for his weight and in the 95th percentile for his height. Overall he is healthy and developing right on track. At this appointment he had shots so it ended with a few tears, which was really sad.

My little Brother Mark is now in the MTC getting ready to go to Morristown, NJ in a couple of weeks. We were able to go to his farewell where he gave a really great talk on the pioneers who have been inspirations in his life. We'll miss him the next two years, but we're so proud of his decision to be a missionary.

24th Of July

We weren't planning on celebrating the 24th of July this year, but it just so happened that we were at my parent's house over that weekend, and we ended up going to a parade and fireworks. We were down at my parents house for my little brother Mark's mission farewell. My niece Ashlee is on the high school drill team so we went to go watch her in the Orangeville parade. Later that night, we went to Cleveland for the fireworks. We had a lot of fun celebrating the pioneers!
