I Love To See The Temple

Paul and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple for its dedication. While waiting for it to begin, we were surprised to be seated where President Monson entered the temple. He, of course, had a huge smile on his face. Next to just being there, it was the coolest thing about the dedication.

It has been so amazing to see the temple be built, serve at its open house, go to its dedication, and now have the opportunity to go back again and again.

We are so blessed!!

Summer Fun With The Youth

I got the great opportunity to be a driver to a couple of the temple celebration practices for the Qquirrh Mountain Temple. The kids were great and put in a lot of work, which made the celebration night amazing. It was so great to be in the Conference Center and see the prophet and other church leaders. I loved all of the songs and dances. I'm excited for our new temple!

Dress Rehearsal

I had such a fun time at Girls Camp at Camp Timberlane. It was my first time back since I was a 2nd-year Beehive about 15 years ago, and it was a blast. We had fun sleeping in tents, shooting marshmallows, picking up marshmallows, eating fondue, playing games, and causing several scenes with the gold underwear!! I am so blessed to get to hang out with such great girls and leaders.

We loved Our Guns!!

Fondue at Camp?? Yummy!!

I also had a fun time at Youth Conference. We did baptisms for the dead at the Jordan River Temple, ate yummy pizza at The Pie, hiked Timpanogos Cave, spent the night at a cabin in Midway, and swam the next day. It was fun hanging out with everyone and getting to know the young men and women more.

Redd Family Reunion

My Mom's side of the family got together for the Redd Family Reunion. I wasn't able to go because I was at Youth Conference, but Paul represented our family. I had several people comment on how surprising it was that he would go without me - my not being able to go was his excuse out of it. What can I say, he just loves to socialize, and especially with distant relatives that he's never met!! I was pretty impressed with his willingness to go - he's great!!

We also got to have the Heiner fam stay at our house, and my family over for a BBQ. My family likes to play a game that Laura taught us several years back called Descriptionary. We LOVE and take it very seriously. Our favorite description of the night came from Michelle who when describing the word 'leather' said "really nice cars have this." It was a good description, but for some reason, we've just been laughing about how funny this was!!

Paul also treated the Heiner family to a trip to the Copper Mine before their departure back home. They had a fun time learning about the mine and looking at all the equipment.

My cute nephew Colin brought me this cupcake from the Family Reunion.
He said he brought it for me because I couldn't go to the party.
What a sweet boy!!

Dash for Donations

Paul ran the Dash for Donations 5k at Sugar House Park with his co-workers and friends. This race is a way to raise awareness and funds for organ donation. Paul had an excellent run finishing 12th overall!!
He said he had a really fun time and hopes to do it again next year!

Elder Gellerson

Paul's friend from his mission, Danny Gellerson, was back in town. He now lives in Seattle but came back to SLC to visit family. It was my first time meeting him, and I must say that he was a very polite and funny young man. We met up with Mike, Shannon, and Danny for lunch and a fun time at Wingers. Surprisingly, Danny is still using Filipino at his job, which I think is so cool!! Paul says his favorite memory about Elder Gellerson is playing billiards with him and Mike on P-Day.
