Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated Paul and Evan's first Father's Day yesterday. Paul is such a great Dad, and I must admit that he is a natural when it comes to changing diapers, giving baths, and calming Evan down without the use of food. Evan got Paul a little fishing pole for his Father's Day gift. Paul has been talking about taking him fishing before he was even born. He even asked me in the hospital if he was old enough to take fishing. I know that Evan loves Paul and that these two are going to be the best fishing buddies.

Bath Time

At Evan's two week doctor's appointment, we were told he could start taking regular baths. We were happy about this because Evan didn't like the sponge baths. I think they made him cold. Annie gave us a cute little tub that Evan loves. Now bath time is so much fun!

We Call Bath Time "Tubby Time"

I love how soft his skin is after a bath

2 Week Old Doctor Appointment

We feel really lucky to have found a great pediatrician for Evan. He had his two week old check up a couple of weeks ago and passed with flying colors. His doctor said he is a healthy little boy and that his growth is great. At the appointment, he weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz. and was 22 inches long. Here's a picture of him getting checked on the table.

First Photo Shoot

We had one of our great friends who is also an awesome photographer do Evan's first photo shoot when he was 8 days old. We thought it was great that she came to our house to take his pictures so we didn't have to take him out anywhere. Paul and I assisted with helping hold the equipment and keeping warm air from a blow dryer on him so he wouldn't get upset. We are so happy with how the pictures turned out. Here are some of our favorites. It's amazing how fast they grow and change.
