We Voted!

Paul and I were so excited to wake up on November 4th and vote!

I am proud to announce that we were first in line at our voting location. There was one gentlemen who showed up before us, but he didn't mind letting us head up the line (maybe it's because I ran right over when I saw them putting the blue tape on the carpet)!! Trust me, I was REALLY excited to be there.

That night, it was so fun to watch all of the national news coverage and hear the announcement of who had won. I didn't find out until the next morning. I zonked out early since I was up at 4:30 a.m. to get ready for the day. I had to go to work after my fun time at the polls.

We look forward to what happens in the next four years!

(I wonder if anyone else took pictures!)

I thought this booth made a great picture,
but Paul really had to use it to vote on paper.
Sherrie Swanson told me he was registered in our district, but he wasn't...

Birthday Boy!

Paul has one more year to be an irresponsible 20 something year old! Can you believe it? He is growing up so fast! This year for his birthday, I gave him a cold. Really I did, but that's not the gift I was intending to give. He asked for a holster for his hand gun, but we haven't gone to pick it out yet. I know nothing about holsters, so this is something I'll need his help with!!

It was great to spend his birthday weekend with Bob & Glynis, Paul's parents. They took us out to Royal India, which is one of our new favorite restaurants. It was good food with great company!!

I know what you're thinking... It looks like we're really in India!!
That's just a really good painting and trick photography.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I love seeing people driving to work dressed up and all of the different costume ideas. It seems like I'm always finishing mine at the last minute, but I always get it done! This year I was a Spider Women thing... I found the dress and spider collar at Wal-Mart (I don't have a lot of time lately), and I added a few finishing touches to make it sparkle!

I dressed up mainly for work. We have a costume contest and a Halloween parade for the employees' kids to trick-or-treat all around the building. The parade was a lot of fun, but the best part of the day was having Paul bring and eat lunch with me at work! My boss told me at least three times that I have a great husband. What can I say, I think he's the BEST!

All dressed up at work!
