I'm starting to think Oprah is onto something with the power of positive thinking.... I've been watching her since high school and dreaming of how amazing it would be to go and it finally happened. Yes, you heard me right, I went to the Oprah Winfrey Show!! I promised my friend Melissa, who recently moved to Chicago, that if she could get tickets that I would be on a plane. I really meant it, but I never thought that she would actually be able to get tickets. But, much to my surprise, she did.... isn't she the best!! To say the least, I was absolutely in shock when I found out. Even after going, I still can't believe it happened. The whole experience was a lot of fun - getting dressed up, going with one of your best friends, and actually sitting in the audience on a show you've been watching for years. It was "O" mazing!! To me Oprah looks just like she does on the TV expect she was a little shorter then I thought she would be. She's very friendly and funny. Thanks again, Mel!! Let's get together again soon!

New Years
We had a great time ringing in the new year at the Heiner's again this year. I enjoyed just seeing everyone and all the fun things in Boise. Paul had a great time snowboarding. He hasn't been in a long time, and Bogus Basin was a lot of fun. One of my favorite moments from the trip happened while playing games. Kenya brought up a very sensitive subject regarding Laura's head fungus. That was awesome, Kenya!! Let do it again next year.... I'll bring the Coco Louies!!
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year!!
Melissa!
Christmas Campbell Style
Paul and I had a different Christmas this year. For the first time, we spent it together at our house. For Christmas Eve, we had a great dinner downtown at The Roof Restaurant - Can you say all you can eat Lion House Rolls!! After dinner, we spent a few minutes looking at the lights on temple square. We started off Christmas day by sleeping in. Late in the morning, I made delicious Monkey Bread for breakfast, which I think has to be a tradition from here on out!! Then, we spent the afternoon in bed watching movies. I did manage to make a festive dinner for two that included ham, funeral potatoes, and rolls. We had a great time!
