2 Month Check-Up

Evan had his 2 month check up today. He weighs 13 pounds and is 25.3 inches long. He is in the 65th percentile for his weight and in the 95th percentile for his height. Overall he is healthy and developing right on track. At this appointment he had shots so it ended with a few tears, which was really sad.

Elder Guymon

My little Brother Mark is now in the MTC getting ready to go to Morristown, NJ in a couple of weeks. We were able to go to his farewell where he gave a really great talk on the pioneers who have been inspirations in his life. We'll miss him the next two years, but we're so proud of his decision to be a missionary.

24th Of July

We weren't planning on celebrating the 24th of July this year, but it just so happened that we were at my parent's house over that weekend, and we ended up going to a parade and fireworks. We were down at my parents house for my little brother Mark's mission farewell. My niece Ashlee is on the high school drill team so we went to go watch her in the Orangeville parade. Later that night, we went to Cleveland for the fireworks. We had a lot of fun celebrating the pioneers!

Visit To Boise

Paul worked last week in Boise so Evan and I went along to keep him company and hang out with the Heiners. We had a fun time playing Speed Scrabble, going downtown for good food, ice blocking down the governor's hill, and just hanging out. It was Evan's first real trip, and he made it okay in the car. He does not enjoy being in his car seat so there were quite a few stops to get out, eat, and walk around; but he did alright and we made it there safe.

Evan's Blessing

Evan was blessed a couple weeks ago on July 17th. It was so special to have so many of our friends and family able to come and spend the day with us. Paul did such a great job giving the blessing, and Evan looked so cute in his white outfit.

Body Movin!

I love this video of Evan dancing. Paul put on a Beastie Boy's song and Evan had a great time kickin' around to the beat.

2 Month's Old Already!

Where has the time gone? I can't believe Evan is already 2 month's old. It seems like one day he's still a tiny newborn and the next, he's a tall chubby baby who has grown like crazy. He's such a good baby and is sleeping at least 6 hours each night (in his crib) but has been surprising us with 8 hour nights the last couple of weeks. He started smiling and talking around 7 weeks and loves to lay on the floor and kick his hands and feet. He discovered his fist last week and has been putting it in his mouth for a taste. He's so strong and loves to stand up on his feet. He still doesn't like his car seat or car rides, but we're working on that. Paul and I just couldn't be happier with the little miracle and joy that he is.
